In vitro fertilization is procedure that helps infertile couples become pregnant with a child who is genetically related to one or both parents. During in vitro fertilization, a team of fertility doctors extract sperm cells and egg cells from both partners, or in some cases the doctors may use donated sperm and eggs. The eggs are then fertilized with the sperm in a controlled environment outside the woman's body. When the embryos reach a certain stage in development, they are implanted into the woman's uterus. In vitro fertilization is a very delicate and expensive procedure. In the US, the cost is around $15,000, while in the UK the price is around £6,000. Patients can save money by visiting a fertility clinic abroad.
Procedure cost is 62-85% below the U.S. average price of $14,500. In Mexico and Argentina, the cost of IVF treatments is only $4,500 or £3,000. Fertility doctors in Latin America often study in some the best medical schools in the US and UK. Doctors are trained in the latest techniques for gamete extraction and in vitro fertilization. Clinics are clean, modern, and equipped with the most advanced tools and medicines. Doctors and nurses speak English, so patients can ask questions and discuss their concerns. Fertility doctors will advise patients on how many embryos should be implanted in the uterus. There are excellent options on virtually every continent: Among the choice destinations * Barbados, though that country is expanding IVF services to clinics throughout the Caribbean region. * South Korea, where the best-known services are offered in the Greater Seoul area. * Southern India, where patients can find medical facilitators to guide them to specific providers. * The Ukraine, near the Black Sea, draws medical tourists from neighboring countries and the U.S. * Costa Rica has multiple hospitals and fertility centers offering IVF. |
